Funding
3LPlace believes strongly in the principle of self-determination.
We encourage prospective members and their families to investigate the "participant-directed" programming option available through the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services.
This option, guaranteed as a right under the 2014 Real Lives Law, allows families to create their own programming based on each individual's needs, and to pay for it with state funds.
A pilot program through the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services may help fund 3LPlace learning modules for those enrolled in the participant-directed model.
3LPlace services may be supported with private funding, school district funding, or through DDS as mentioned above. We will be happy to work with you to leverage any funding streams available to you and your family.
